Corrections and data issues
These are the messages we act on fastest. Send the page URL and what looks wrong, and if you know it, what the right answer should be. Two details make a correction much quicker to verify:
- For a flight page, give us the callsign and the date you saw the problem. Airlines re-time and re-route flight numbers between seasons, so a route that looks wrong today may simply have moved.
- For an airport or airline page, tell us which figure is off. Runway counts, fleet sizes and passenger totals come from published sources and drift between reviews.
One thing that is usually not an error: an aircraft missing from the live map. That nearly always means no receiver in the network could hear it, which is normal over oceans, deserts and polar routes. Our flight tracking technology guides explain why coverage looks the way it does.
Guide suggestions
What should we explain next? The knowledge hub is driven largely by questions readers send in, so if some corner of aviation has never quite made sense to you, that is exactly the thing worth writing about.
Data, partnerships and press
Include your organisation and your timeline so we can tell you quickly whether we can help. We do not sublicense or redistribute the underlying position feed; organisations needing raw aviation data should arrange an appropriately licensed feed with a specialist data provider.
We are not affiliated with any airline or airport, so we cannot help with bookings, refunds, delayed baggage or anything that needs a carrier's own records. For those, contact the airline directly.
