How do I track a specific flight?
Find the flight number above and open its page, or type the flight number or callsign into the search box at the top of any page. Each flight page shows the aircraft live on a map whenever it is airborne and within receiver coverage.
What is the difference between a flight number and a callsign?
The flight number is the marketing code on your ticket, like BA112. The callsign is what the crew uses on the radio and what appears on radar, like BAW112. They usually share digits but not always, which is why both are listed here.
Why is a flight I am looking for not listed?
This index covers scheduled services we track with full route, schedule and aircraft detail. Any other aircraft currently broadcasting still appears on the live map, and searching its callsign will take you straight to it.
How often does the tracking update?
The page checks for the latest cached snapshot every 15 seconds. The source snapshot normally refreshes every minute with authenticated access and up to every 15 minutes otherwise. Each flight page also keeps a seven-day log of actual observations.
Where should I check official flight status?
Use the operating airline or airport for authoritative departure, arrival, gate, delay and cancellation status. This site shows aircraft observed through available ADS-B receiver coverage and is not an operational status feed.
